Drink Damage

Did you know your diet can actually have a major impact on the health of your teeth? For example, sugars can create an environment where bad sugars can grow. However, would you be surprised to learn that there are a number of issues you could have to cope with if you decide to drink soda regularly?

As you probably know, men and women of all ages drink soda. However, please note that your teeth will be negatively impacted by soda consumption, regardless of your age. Acids in a soda can actually weaken and wear down your enamel. This is a problem because once your enamel is gone, it’s gone forever. To make matters worse, if your enamel is gone, you’ll be more vulnerable to gum disease and tooth decay.

Naturally, there are a few things you might be able to do mitigate the effects of drinking soda. For instance, after you enjoy a soda, you could rinse your pearly whites with water. Similarly, brushing and flossing your teeth may help, but we recommend waiting at least thirty minutes before you brush or floss. If you don’t, you could accidentally damage your pearly whites because enamel can actually weaken your teeth. You could consider removing soda from your diet. We recommend considering kombucha, juices, or seltzer water.
